Cardboard managers are among the most helpful recycling equipment invented in recent times. As cardboard is widely utilized for packaging, an infinite amount of it accumulates at landfills every year. Hence, proper recycling of this material can considerably reduce landfill wastes. Cardboard bangers facilitate efficient recycling of cardboard waste and thus help preserve the environment. Continue reading this article to know more.
A cardboard baler is a tool that helps reduce the transportation costs of packaging materials. It helps reduce the cost of transporting un-packed waste to landfills and reduce the cost of transporting crushed or chopped up materials to recycling plants. Since the material is pre-composted and compacted, it reduces the amount of energy required for waste disposal. A large number of warehouses across the country have balers fitted in their facilities. Cardboard benders are also used by many food service providers and other retail establishments to reduce the cost of packaging various ingredients in large quantities.
For many years, cardboard balers have been an integral part of solid waste management programs in most cities across America. The compacting of waste is a vital step towards the successful management of waste. Cardboard bales can be easily segregated based on size, type and location. This facilitates effective and efficient handling of wastes. They can also be reused after being used once or twice.
A horizontal cardboard baler comes with three major compartments namely the top, the bottom and the middle. These are divided by a series of hinged sections, each of which is equipped with handles and is easily maneuvered so as to shift the baler to a horizontal position. These enable the baler to be accessed from both sides and can be operated manually or electrically. This makes them convenient for use by people who do not possess the manual dexterity and strength to manipulate the equipment.
A vertical baler consists of three main compartments and these are the top, the bottom and the middle. Unlike the horizontal variant, the vertical compacting box comes with a hydraulic cylinder. Hydraulic cylinders in these compacting devices allow them to be operated by the users in a completely manual way.
In spite of all the advantages provided by these compacting machines, one major disadvantage is that the contents of these boxes are not able to be recycled. The main reason behind this is the inability of these units to take in water and moisture. Water and moisture seepage into the bales may result in expansion of the materials inside and thus, they are unable to shrink. As a result, they are difficult to be compressed and as such cannot be compacted. Therefore, one cannot expect these boxes to be used as inputs for manufacturing bales and cardboard balers.
